CHICAGO  — A woman was hit by a pick-up truck and killed on Lake Shore Drive early this morning.

32-year-old Pamela Johnson was hit and killed by a driver in a pick-up truck in the 600 block of North Lake Shore Drive just before 2 a.m. Johnson and her boyfriend had just left a night club in the Gold Coast; he told police a group of armed men tried to rob them, and that he and Johnson ran onto Lake Shore Drive to try to get away.

Chicago police now say there are inconsistencies with the details of what led up to the fatal crash.

Family are asking the driver to help.

The incident follows a deadly shooting on Lake Shore Drive near Fullerton early Saturday morning, when 15-year-old Veronica Lopez was killed and a 28-year-old man driving a Jeep Cherokee wounded.
