CHICAGO – Chicago’s 146th annual Memorial Day Parade steps off at noon today.

Chicago’s parade is one of the largest in the nation.  Lieutenant General Kenneth R. Dahl of the U.S. Army will serve as Grand Marshal.

The Parade marches south along State St. from Lake St. to Van Buren St.

The city will also honor fallen heroes with a wreath-laying ceremony.

During that ceremony, Chicago will recognize Illinois’ Gold Star families, those whose loved ones died while protecting our country.
