Missing Lake Geneva family found safe in Georgia

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. –A Lake Geneva woman and her three sons who have been missing for two weeks have been found safe in Georgia.

The City of Lake Geneva Police Department posted the update on its Facebook page Tuesday just before noon.

Michalene Melges, 40, and her children 14-year-old Hans, 12-year-old Kristian (“Max”) and 10-year-old Maverik (“Buddy”) had last been seen leaving their home in the 900 block of South Lakeshore Drive in Lake Geneva on May 10.

Michalene had rented a van in Lake Bluff, Ill., on May 9, and the van was returned to a rental company in Plano, Texas on May 13.

Michalene and her sons may be traveling with their two dogs.
