KANKAKEE, Ill — The Kankakee County coroner says autopsies have been performed and three men have been identified who were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 57.

Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner on Monday afternoon identified the victims as 25-year-old Lukas Frye of Milford, 56-year-old Randy Gates of Kankakee and 43-year-old Eddie Sarkozi of Iroquois. A fourth, unidentified man was injured.

The (Kankakee) Daily Journal reports the car was tossed into a culvert near Illinois Route 45/52 on Monday morning. Two of the dead men were pinned inside the vehicle and the third, the driver, was ejected. The injured man made it out of the vehicle.

Gessner called it "one horrible accident." He says there was alcohol in the vehicle and toxicology tests on the victims are pending.
