CHICAGO — A federal lawsuit claims a Chicago police officer threatened to use a Taser on a man who was holding a baby boy.

Cesar Carrizales said the officer warned him the 1-year-old would feel the electricity.

Police approached Carrizales near his home in October and demanded he put down the 1-year-old.

Carrizales says when he asked to give the boy to the child’s mother, he was attacked and slammed onto the hood of a police cruiser.

The child was pinned underneath him, and the officer allegedly threatened them with the Taser.

A spokesman for the city’s law department has not commented on the lawsuit.
