CHICAGO -- A 12-year-old boy spent the night in the hospital after a shooting on Chicago’s near West Side.
Police say someone fired shots outside a fast food restaurant in the 200 block of S. Western around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
A man who was walking down the street and headed to the restaurant, says a red SUV pulled up and someone in the back seat started shooting.
Witnesses say they heard about 10 gunshots.
The boy sustained a graze wound to the leg and was taken to the hospital in good condition.
The circumstances of the shooting are not known at this time.
