Brighton Park residents are feeling uneasy over a sexual assault that happened recently.

A 37 year-old woman was walking to a store on Sunday night when she was attacked at 43rd and Sacramento.

The suspect held a cloth to her face, likely soaked in chloroform, which knocked her unconscious. She was then assaulted. When she awoke in the suspect’s vehicle, the suspect pointed a gun at her, and told her to leave.

A Community Alert is urging people not to walk alone.

The suspect is described as a 40 year-old man, Hispanic, with diamond stud earrings in both ears. He was possibly driving a black Pontiac.
