FOX LAKE, Ill. — The widow of disgraced Fox Police lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz was back in court today.

Attorneys for Melodie Gliniewicz asked a judge to drop four counts related to her alleged misuse of funds.

She’s charged with helping her late husband steal money from the police explorer’s program.

Her defense argues the counts in question use the word “he” and therefore don’t include her.

The state disagrees.

A judge will issue a ruling regarding the counts on June 14th.

Her trial starts on June 27th.
