Police warn Ashburn residents of sexual assault

CHICAGO –  Chicago police have issued a community alert after a woman was sexually assaulted on the city’s Far South Side.

According to police the assault happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say a woman was walking near the 3300 block of W. 85th Street in the city’s Ashburn neighborhood when a man got out of a tan sedan and chased her into an alley, where he assaulted her.

Police described the attacker as a black man, between 20 and 25 years old, standing about 5 foot 8 inches tall.

He has a goatee and a birthmark or tattoo on his right hand, according to police.
