Police locate missing 10-year-old boy from Far South Side

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department has located a young boy who went missing Saturday from the Far South Side.

According to a police statement on Sunday, Dwayne Williams, 10, was last seen Saturday near the 7500 block of South Essex Avenue in the city’s South Shore neighborhood. Police said late Sunday afternoon that the boy had been found and he is in good condition.


Police say that Williams was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, dark blue shorts with red and orange designs on the side, and black Nike gym shoes.

Williams was described as African-American, 5 feet 3 inches, 130 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
