EDGELEY, N.D. — A farmer is paying tribute to Prince.

Gene Hanson used a tractor to carve out the singer’s logo in one of his fields.

His wife, Darlene, says she didn’t know about the drawing until she saw it on Facebook and it went viral.

Gene says he’s not a big Prince fan, but the subject came up during his coffee group and he thought it would be fun to try.

Gene has carved other things in his fields like “Happy Mother’s Day” and “Happy Easter.”

This Fall he’s planning a tribute to country singer Merle Haggard.
