CHICAGO - John Danks time with the White Sox appears to have run out.
The veteran southpaw has yet to win a game this year, while allowing 18 earned runs in just 22 1/3 innings for a 7.25 ERA.
Danks has been with the White Sox throughout his entire 10-year major league career.
Danks is in the final year of a 5-year, $65 million dollar contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2017.
Erik Johnson will take Danks spot in the rotation for now.
Johnson's first start will most likely be Thursday against the Boston Red Sox.
