Police release photos of suspects in Blue Line attack, robbery

CHICAGO — Chicago Police have released photos of two suspects in the brutal beating of a woman who was riding the CTA Blue Line Thursday morning.

Nineteen-year-old DePaul student Jessica Hughes said she was on her way home to Berwyn from a morning class when a man moved to the seat in front of her, turned around and attacked.

According to police, the suspects, a man and a woman, attempted to steal the woman’s cell phone by repeatedly punching her. One of them also bit the victim’s hand, police said.

Police described the suspects as a black man, approximately 25-35 years old; 6’00”; 180 pounds with black hair wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and black woman, approximately 18-25 years old; 5’06”; 120 pounds wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and black pants.
