* The Chicago Cubs are second in MLB in runs scored, with 123, while ranking third in runs allowed, with 54. Their +69 run differential is sixth-best through 20 games since 1900 (1902 Pirates +91).

* The Cubs tend to jump on teams early, and should find some success doing so against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubs are +22 in the first three innings, best in baseball. The Brewers are -21, second-worst. In games started by Taylor Jungmann this season, the Brewers have a -10 run differential in the first three innings. The Cubs are +7 in games started by Jake Arrieta.

* Since the start of 2014, the Cubs have enjoyed seeing the Brewers come to town holding a 14-6 advantage over the visitors.

* Wrigley Field has hosted a countless number of great players through the years, but few have had more success than Ryan Braun. He has the second-highest career batting average in Wrigley Field history (.358) since the Cubs started playing there in 1916. Gregg Jeffries (.360) has the highest – minimum 200 PA.

*With a quality start today, Arrieta will tie Eddie Cicotte (09/15/1916 to 07/25/1917) for the second-longest streak (25) since 1913, with only Bob Gibson’s mark of 26 consecutive quality starts ahead of him (09/12/1967 to 07/30/1968).
