6.1 magnitude tremor felt in Ecuador

ECUADOR — The U.S. Geological Survey says that a tremor of magnitude 6.1 has rattled Ecuador.

The tremor was centered offshore, 25 kms (15 miles) west of Muisne, at 3:33 a.m. local time.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

Ecuador’s death toll has risen to 525 after Saturday’s massive earthquake, but officials expect more bodies to be found.
