Former Fenger High School Principal discusses new foundation Chicago Beyond

Elizabeth Dozier is most known for her past position as passionate Principal at Fenger High School and being featured in the CNN docu-series “Chicagoland”.

She left Fenger after 6 years to take her passion for educating the children of Chicago in a new direction with the launch of the foundation Chicago Beyond.

Dozier has taken on the role of Managing Director for the new foundation that launched earlier this month.

Chicago Beyond focuses on increasing the impact of nonprofits already doing good work with the city’s youth.

To evaluate their investments they have partnered with UChicago Urban Labs. An important piece of Chicago Beyond’s work will be sharing their findings to spur investment from the public and private sector.
