CHICAGO - When the enter the third period with a lead, it's usually OK to get Chelsea Dagger ready.
Since the beginning of the 2014-2015 season the Blackhawks were an incredible 70-0-3 when leading after two periods. That was the situation in Game 3 at the United Center as the Blackhawks led the Blues 2-1.
Then something happened. A bad bounce led to a goal. A bad penalty led to another. Suddenly the Blackhawks had the rare distinction of blowing a lead they came into the third period with as they fell behind in their first round series with St. Louis.
