‘All clear’ after Chicago Police Bomb Squad investigates suspicious object in Loop

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Bomb Squad was investigating a suspicious object in the Loop Sunday.

Investigators were sent to the Loop near the Kluczynski Federal Building Sunday morning around 9:30 a.m. on the 200 block of South Dearborn. Police told WGN the scene was “all clear” just before noon.

Police told the Chicago Sun-Times that northbound traffic was diverted at Jackson. CTA Blue Line trains were not running between Grand and UIC due to police activity.

Police told WGN shortly after noon Sunday that all closures were over and traffic was resuming as normal.
