CHICAGO — A person was seriously injured after a car crashed into a Walgreens on the city’s Southwest Side.

The accident happened around 3:44 a.m. Friday at the Walgreens located at 7150 W. Archer Ave. in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood.

A silver Infiniti slammed into the front entrance of the drugstore.

The person was transported to Loyola Hospital in serious-to-critical condition.

The person’s identity remains unknown at this time.

The person, whose age and gender were not immediately available, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition, Lyle said.

The city’s building department was called to inspect the safety of the building.
