CHICAGO - Illinois had a Final Four team this season-and you had to go to Lisle to find it.
The Benedictine Eagles went through the regular season undefeated and reached the Division-III Final Four in Salem, Virginia. While they fell short of a national championship by one game, they set a number of program records in their best season in school history.
We saluted the Eagles on Wednesday's Sports Feed as head coach Keith Bunkenburg and forward Luke Johnson came in studio for a segment on their season. They discussed the campaign with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman and what made the team the most successful in Benedictine history.
