CHICAGO — The White Sox return to Chicago for their home opener on Friday, but the team is getting people ready days beforehand.

The Sox hope to prepare fans for the festivities on Wednesday with the introduction of the “Bite Sox” food truck, where fans can sample complementary ballpark foods such as hot dogs, bratwurst, bacon on a stick, ballpark nachos and in-shell peanuts, the team said in a statement.

The truck will have White Sox branding and travel to various locations in downtown Chicago beginning Wednesday, April 6, at 11 a.m.

The following scheduled stops for the “Bite Sox” food truck are as follows:

– Michigan and Lake at 11 a.m.

– Michigan and Monroe at 12:10 p.m.

– Clark and Monroe at 2:30 p.m.

– Wacker and Adams at 4 p.m.

Fans can keep up with the truck through social media by following @whitesox on Twitter and the hashtags #BiteSox and #CWSHomeOpener. Locations and times for the food truck are subject to change.

The team says food will be served in sample size on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.

The White Sox home opener shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, April 8, at U.S. Cellular Field.
