CHICAGO — A high-speed car chase ended in a fiery crash that sent two people to the hospital on the city’s South Side

Just after midnight Tuesday, Chicago police say the driver of a gray Toyota and two passengers refused to pull over for a traffic stop.

Officers chased the speeding car for two-miles until it broadsided another car at 66th and Ashland in the West Englewood neighborhood.

The runaway driver, a 26-year-old man, had a warrant out for his arrest and was taken into custody at the scene.

One passenger was hospitalized, along with one person in the other car.

They were both taken to Holy Cross Hospital.
