Peoria airport reopened after suspicious package found

PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria International Airport has reopened after a suspicious package was found near the baggage check-in area.

The Peoria County Sheriff said long sticks resembling dynamite and a timing device were found – but says the scene is now “all clear”

The items were found during a routine X-ray screening of bags.

The FBI and sheriff are questioning a person now.
