Bears have signed TE Josh Hill to an offer sheet, per reports.

LAKE FOREST  –  The Bears got one of their tight ends back from last year but they are still short one other pass catcher and blocker at the end of the line.

On Tuesday, General Manager Ryan Pace appears to have tried to address this issue.

Per a report from the Chicago Tribune, the Bears have signed Saints tight end Josh Hill to an offer sheet.

Biggs also reported the deal is for three-years. Since Hill is a restricted free agent, the Saints have five days to match the Bears’ offer for the tight end. If he does so, that Hill returns to New Orleans.

Signed as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho State, Hill has spent the past three seasons with the Saints as he catches 36 passes for 340 yards and eight touchdowns. He had 14 catches and a career-high five touchdowns, including two against the Bears, in 2014 and followed that up with 16 catches last season.
