Attempted murder charges filed in shooting of off-duty Chicago cop

CHICAGO — A man has been charged with attempted murder in the shooting of an off-duty Chicago police officer.

The shooting happened early Monday morning near 101st and Green, during a robbery attempt.

Police say they’ve now charged 25-year old Samuel Harviley. They’re holding a news conference tomorrow morning to release more details.
