Bears bring back defensive lineman Mitch Unrein on 2-year deal

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – It’s been a busy day at Halas Hall.

Hours after landing free agent inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman, the Bears brought back one of their own.

Defensive lineman Mitch Unrein inked a two-year deal to stay in Chicago.

Unrein made four starts for the Bears in 2015, recording 32 tackles, six QB hurries, and one sack.

At 28, Unrein is entering his sixth NFL season.

Aside from his time in Chicago, Unrein has played for the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos.
