Retired pastor, 73, beaten in home in West Pullman

CHICAGO -- A retired church pastor was badly beaten in his home.

It happened Saturday night on 121st and Princeton in the West Pullman neighborhood.

Lezel Holt, 73, says someone knocked on his door around 8:40 p.m.

When he opened it, he says he was hit in the face with a gun and handcuffed.

The attacker then rummaged through his home before taking off.

Holt is recovering but will need facial surgery.

No one has been arrested.
