CHICAGO - Lovie Smith's hire at Illinois dominated the day as well as most of the Sports Feed show.

That's to be expected as the state school made it's most prolific coaching hire since Bill Self some 16 years ago. This time it's former Bears coach Lovie Smith who will take the reigns of a struggling football program as he signed a six-year contract with the Fighting Illini to try and turn the program around.

Mark Carman of WGN Radio came on Sports Feed to comment on that development with Josh Frydman on Monday's show, but he was also on to talk some Bulls. That included some injury news on Monday about Jimmy Butler that might but his health back in question again.
