CHICAGO -- A judge has set a one million dollar bond for the man charged in the shooting death of a man inside a gym at a luxury high-rise on Chicago’s near West Side.
Reggie Daniel, 48, faces first-degree murder charges.
Daniel, who is in a wheelchair, is accused of shooting Darrin Joss, 45, while he was working out inside a gym on the eighth floor of a high-rise building on the 500 block of West Kinzie Street Wednesday night.
Police said Daniel shot Joss in the head and chest after a verbal altercation between the two over a woman. Daniel then fled the scene.
Joss, who lived in the high-rise building where he was shot, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Hours after the shooting, Daniel turned himself into police.
