2 teens killed in Willow Springs crash

WILLOW SPRINGS, Ill. -   Two teenagers have died in a single-car crash in the Southwest Suburbs.

Police say an SUV slammed into a tree on South Archer Avenue near 95th Street after 3:30 a.m. Saturday in Willow Springs.

Jonathan Grabinski, 17, of Chicago Ridge and Salvatore Melant, 18, of Chicago,  were riding eastbound on South Archer Avenue in a Ford Explorer.  


Police say the driver lost control at a sharp curve and slammed into a tree.  

Both teenagers died at the scene.

The stretch of road where the accident happened has been the site of several fatal accidents.

The accident  is under investigation by the Cook County Sheriffs Police.
