Police warn of armed robberies in Wicker Park, Humboldt Park

CHICAGO — Police are issuing a warning following a string of armed robberies in Wicker Park and Humboldt Parks.

There have been three robberies since Feb. 21. Two happened in the 1200 block of North Spaulding. The third, in the 1200 block of North Ashland.

In each incident, police say a group of two to four men approached the victim displaying gun and robbed them. In one incident, the victim was struck with a handgun.

The suspects are described as black males aged 15-30 years old, 5’5″ to 5’11” tall and weighing 120 to 160
pounds. They were all wearing either black or blue hooded sweatshirts.
