CHICAGO -- Police were on the scene of an armed robbery Friday at Ford City Mall on Chicago's South Side.
Chicago police say it happened at 11:11 a.m. Friday, and that shots were fired by the armed offender.
No injuries have been reported.
Sources tell WGN it was a jewelry store that was robbed.
Squad cars surrounded the mall's entrances. The suspects ran out of the mall's north entrance, hopped into a silver SUV and sped away.
Police are reviewing surveillance video but the mall has reopened.
Police interviewed witnesses and collected evidence from at least seven of the shops in the mall. But so far the suspects remain on the loose.
