On Thursday the Cubs announced that they have traded Chris Coghlan to the Athletics for right-handed pitcher Aaron Brooks.

Brooks was 3-5 with an 8.38 ERA let season with the Royals and Athletics in 15 games-10 of which he was a starter.

Coghlan was with the Cubs for two seasons and last year batted .250 with 16 homers and 41 RBIs in 148 games. He initially joined the Cubs in 2014.
