Blackhawks acquire Andrew Ladd in a trade with the Jets

CHICAGO - It looks like Stan Bowman has made his latest splash in the trade market as the team goes for a repeat Stanley Cup championship.

The Blackhawks confirmed on Thursday night that they have acquired forward Andrew Ladd from the Jets. It's a major addition for the Blackhawks as they prepare to enter the Stanley Cup playoffs in the next few months.

Ladd, who played for the Blackhawks at times from 2007-2010, has 17 goals and 17 assists in Winnipeg this season as captain of the Jets.

Not only do the Blackhawks get Ladd in the deal but also forward Matt Fraser and defenseman Jay Harrison from Winnipeg while giving up forward Marko Dano, their first round pick in 2016 along with a conditional pick in the 2018 NHL Draft.
