CHICAGO – During his career he’s been regarded as one of the best infielders in baseball.

But after a rough season in Los Angeles with the Dodgers in 2015, Jimmy Rollins is looking for a fresh start with a new team.

Monday the White Sox gave him the chance to do so, signing Rollins to a minor league contract.

The 2007 National League MVP won four Gold Gloves and appeared in three All-Star games as a member of the Phillies from 2000-2014.

Rollins helped the Phillies to the 2008 World Series Championship, the team’s first since 1980.

Last season Rollins batted .224 with 13 homers for the Dodgers.
