CHICAGO — A co-owner of Chicago’s famous Second City has passed away. Len Stuart was 73.

Stuart had been the co-owner and co-chairman of the legendary comedy theater since 1978. He stayed behind the scenes while his business partner, Andrew Alexander, became the public face of the organization.

Stuart was instrumental with securing financing to get Second City’s legendary TV series “SCTV” on the air.
