CHICAGO — More than 235,000 ComEd customers have restored power on Saturday following Friday’s powerful hurricane-force winds.
Winds reached up to 70 mph, breaking power lives and bringing down debris on trees and onto electrical lines.
More than 70 crews from nearby utilities companies chipped in to restore power.
The remaining outages are those where the electric infrastructure has suffered significant damage.
ComEd expects nearly all remaining customers to be restored by noon on Sunday.
