High Wind Warning until 6 p.m., mainly north of I-80; Wind Advisory to south

CHICAGO — Much of the Chicago area is now under a High Wind WARNING until 6PM. The warning is mainly in areas north of I-80. To the south a Wind Advisory continues. Increasing southwest winds of nearly 40 mph could gust to 60 mph. WeatherBug stations across the area have already reported gusts over 50 mph since midnight. Travel will be hazardous for high profile vehicles. Property damage is also possible. Secure outdoor objects.
