Police: 3 men attempted to steal bags of cash from Brink’s facility on West Side

CHICAGO --  Police are searching for three men who tried to steal several bags of cash from a Brinks facility.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. Friday at the Brink's on California and Taylor in the city's Lawndale neighborhood.

Police say three men were spotted by a manager carrying bags from the building.

The manager confronted them and they left empty-handed.

It is unknown at this time if the men are Brink's employees.

It is also unknown how much the money they were trying to steal.

So far, no one has been caught.

Chicago police are investigating.
