NEW YORK, N.Y. - A fifth grader sought refuge in sewing after she was bullied at school.

Now she can say she's a fashion designer who debuted her line at New York's Fashion Week.

Ify Ufele said kids at school would call her all sorts of names and shove her lunch on the floor.

The abuse got so bad, she wanted to quit going to school.

But with the help of her grandmother, the straight-A student took refuge behind a sewing machine.

She began making clothes and fashioned it into a clothing line she calls "Chubli".  Her clothes cater to girls of all ages and body types.

They were featured in a small boutiques show during Fashion Week.
