HARVEY, Ill. --Authorities say they are questioning a man who was inside the apartment at the time of the shooting, then ran away.

They are not calling him a suspect but they hope he will lead them to the shooter.

Meanwhile, one of the victims, a 16-year old girl is at Christ Medical Center fighting for her life.

Bullet holes riddle the door to apartment #3 where the teen was shot in the head and a 23-year old woman was hit the leg.  That victim’s sister identifies her as Roberta Rodges.

Harvey officials say suspicious activity, possibly drug-related, was taking place at the apartment on Halsted near Sibley Boulevard last night when shots rang out sometime after 10 p.m.

A man who identified himself as Detroit lives in the apartment.

He was home Wednesday night but tells WGN he doesn’t know what happen because he was asleep.

He says he didn’t know the young ladies and they were visiting the young man who shares the apartment with him.

A Harvey spokesman says detectives are confident they will have the shooter in custody by the end of the day.
