AURORA, Ill. — An Aurora dog named Houdini didn’t live up to his namesake: he needed help getting out of a tough predicament.
The 100-pound golden retriever fell through thin ice on a pond behind his owner’s home. The owner quickly called for help.
Then, it was local firefighters to the rescue, using their cold-water immersion suits and an ice rescue sled to save the dog.
It took a while for him to warm-up, but he was expected to be OK.
