CHICAGO - Chicago police are investigating a case of domestic violence that ended with the death of a man who was hit by a car -- intentionally "run over" by a relative.
Police say that two others were injured in the attack.
This all happened Saturday night at about 11:15 p.m. in the North Austin neighborhood on Chicago's West Side.
Police investigators collected evidence in brown paper bags and blocked off the street in the 5400 block of W. Kamerling Ave., near the corner of Long Avenue.
According to police detectives, the suspect plowed into three of his family members as he tried to drive away.
It's not clear what led up to the situation. But when it was all said and done, a 39-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
Police say the two other people are a male and a female. They were taken to West Suburban Medical Center and are said to be in stable condition.
As of now, police are still searching for the driver. They have not released any other information about the suspect they are looking for.
