Chicago Tribune: Number of youths (under 17) shot since September 2011

CHICAGO — Gun violence is indiscriminate of age. Chicago knows this all too well.

At least 1,034 youth, those under the age of 17, have been shot since September 2011.

At least 95 died.

A new app produced by the Chicago Tribune shows a dot for each of the youths that were shot.

Hover over the dot, and you’ll find out the name of the victim and the Tribune’s coverage on the story.
