CHICAGO -- Chicago police were still looking for suspects Friday in the shooting of a 16-year-old girl while she was walking to school.

It happened around 8:30 Thursday near Kildare and Hirsch Street.

Two men got out of a car and opened fire on the driver of a U-Haul truck.

That driver fired back and then crashed into several parked cars while trying to get away.

A 16-year-old girl was shot in the leg.

No arrests have been made.

There's an elementary school near where the shooting happened.

Some parents are angry because they say they never see any safe passage workers along the route.

They also complained that they didn't see a police presence in the neighborhood on Friday.

Neither CPS nor police officials have responded.
