PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Class will be in session for the 2016-7 school year for St. Alphonsus Catholic.

It faced closure after the archdiocese notified St. Alphonsus that it had until January 4 to raise $300,000, later to $400,000, for its operating budget.

The archdiocese has now said the school raised the needed money and also enrolled its target number of students.
