CHICAGO — There’s another casualty of the budget impasse in Springfield: emissions test reminders.

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA) says it will not send out notifications until there is a state budget.

Normally, you can’t renew your license plate sticker without an up-to-date emissions test, but the Secretary of State’s office says it will issue the stickers without a test for now.

The state already stopped issuing reminders for license plate stickers.
