CHICAGO – A Chicago man and his dog are sustaining injuries on Thursday after they were shot by paintballs.

Nine-and-a-half-year-old Mugsy took the brunt of the shooting.

There are slight traces of yellow paint on the dog’s face.

Chris got hit in the nose, the finger, and has a few welts on his back.

It was about 10:00 Tuesday night when Chris went to take Mugsy for his last walk of the day.

He saw an older-looking Jeep Cherokee slowly pull out of the alley and roll down the window.

That’s when Chris heard the popping noises.

It’s unnerving in this dog-friendly neighborhood in the 5900 block of Paulina.  Most people would actually call it a boring neighborhood.

Chris is asking neighbors to be on the lookout and call police if you sense any problems.
