Man struck by car in River North dies

CHICAGO -- A 30-year-old man died after being struck by a car in Chicago's River North neighborhood.

Police say the man got into a fight with another person around 4:30 a.m. Sunday near Hubbard and State Streets.

He was struck on the head and fell onto the street. A car then ran over him.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where he later died.

Police say the driver stayed at the scene and was not charged or ticketed.

The other person in the fight walked away and has not been found.
