Young ballet dancers compete for scholarships in River Forest

RIVER FOREST, Illl – Nearly 400 young ballet performers pirouetted their way on what’s billed as the world’s largest competition of tiny dancers.

From nine to 19, ballet dancers competed at Dominican University in River Forest.

They’re competing for a place in the finals of the Youth American Grand Prix Dance competition.

A select few will be tapped to continue on to the finals in New York city come April.
